Chryslers at Carlisle
Once again the good folks at the Chrysler’s at Carlisle show invited me to be a celebrity judge at their fantasic show in Carlilse, PA. I had a great time seeing old friends and meeting new ones! There were so many bitchin’ cars there that I can’t possibly fit them all here. Check out the photos below of the gasser pick-up and Big Daddy’s dragster!
On Saturday night John Clark of Mopar Performance, editor Randy Bolig of Mopar Muscle Magazine, car builder extraordinaire Matt Delaney, and myself visited Ray Barton at his facilities, Ray Barton Racing Engines, in Robesonia, PA. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Ray, he is the Hemi engine building king! Pure Vision has 2 Hemi engines being built by Ray so I went to see the progress. Wow! what a killer shop! Thanks for the great time Ray!
One of my duties at the show is choosing a car for my celebrity pick. I chose Mr. Simpson’s ‘64 Dodge Station wagon. A beautiful pearl orange paint job, the vintage drag feel, and of course that killer 426 Max Wedge made me stop and smile. Congratulations Mr. Simpson! For all you Mopar nuts out there-if you have not gone to this show before, it is a MUST SEE! Check it out next year for sure!
