Quick Tech Tip
Here is a quick little tip that you might find useful:
When laying out dash boards, we often photo copy and cut out the guage faces, then tape them to the dash with blue painters tape. That way you can see EXACTLY what the dash will look like, and how things will fit. The blue tape will allow you to move them without tearing. You should also make small cutout to replicate switches, lights etc.
You can also photo copy guages out of catalogs, and re-size them to help choose styles as well.
