Hot Rod Magazine “Reliability Run”

buildsheet-ride-drive-030-medium.jpgHey all! We had the coolest time last week!  Hot Rod magazine and yours truly put together a bitchin little reliabilty run.  A small but super cool grup of cars were chosen for the editors of Hot Rod to jump in and drive along a prep planned route out along the foothills of our So. Cal. mountains!  The object to all of this is when you guys at home read the article, you will get the feeling of what is is like to drive the different cars.  On Wed. the 6th super ace photographer Randy Lorentzen came to the shop to take detail photos of the cars.  The group consisted of the following:  We brought the Petrol Charger and Dan’s 72 Torino.  Troy Ladd and friendRoy Hill brought a really cool 32 Ford roadster that was built back in the day, and one of two 1955 Kurtis Swallow coupe race cars.  Also on hand were my friend Andy’s all original 1969 GTO, David Freiburger’s double bad ass F-Bomb Camaro , and the completely bitchin Flashback Mustang from Classic Design Concepts.  Bright and early on the following Thursday morning our group snaked along beautiful back roads and enjoyed gorgeous scenery and each others company.  While driving I could not help but think I was the luckiest guy in the world.  How killer is driving bitchin cars on a picture perfect So. Cal. day with the boys at Hot Rod magazine?  And to all you nay sayers out there-ALL of the ”over expensive” and rare “trailer queens” made the 160 mile hike with out incident! I would like to thank everyone involved because everyone played a part in the drive’s success.  Look for the full story in an upcoming issue of Hot Rod Magazine!
